We visited the resort in Feb and had a wonderful time. The resort was fairly busy for a week with both US and UK on half term. Even then, we were able to get a good spot on the main beach and the kids all seemed to be having a good time. I noticed that the other beach near reception was still fairly quiet even when the hotel was fairly full.
In the following week, the resort was a lot quieter and both beaches were very peaceful...
Like previous reviewers, I don't want to repeat details, but I will say that the staff were fantastic, especially the food waiters, guest services ladies, water sports guys and the buggy drivers. We found them to be attentive and efficient and many of them were great to chat to. We felt like we were part of the family.
Food was great with plenty of choice. Check early in the day which restaurant is open and whether you need to book.
As someone else has said, this is the Caribbean, where the pace of life is a lot slower. Having said that, the resort staff and management were always swift to help and pleasant when doing so.
It's great to have Devils Bridge right next door to the resort and it only takes 5 or so minutes to walk to. The waves crashing onto the cliff face are mesmerising and difficult to tear yourself away from.
For those with a netbook or small laptop, the resort has 3 Wi-fi areas - near the main pool, near the adult pool and in the reception area. The resort has a pc you can use with a 15 min time limit, but it was regularly in use, so you may have a little wait.
We'll be going back next year and can't wait for January 2010 to come round.
