We are not really resort people, but found the week at The Verandah a perfect break.
The resort is well spread out and there is not a feeling of crowding from other guests. There is plenty of room in the pool (fabulous), the bars, restaurants and the beach area. There is no feeling of "forced fun", no combat-mariachhi bands leaping out to entertain, and no feeling that one should permantly "upgrade" or take a local tour.
It is simply a gorgeous facility that allows its guests to relax, takek stock and recharge.
The staff were without exception wonderful. Fun, helpful, gracious and engaging, from the resort manager (a splendid fellow, Mr Cedric Henry) to the folks who cleaned our room each day; all were sImply wonderful people.
We will most certainly be back!
